  What is the Glam Van?

Sydney based The ‘Glam Van’ is Australia’s first mobile wedding Hair styling and Make- up Parlour on wheels that comes to you.  A huge Mercedes- benz van that’s been custom fitted with every brides idea of a fantasy wedding in mind. Not only is the Glam Van an elegant mobile parlour with many luxurious features such as a chandelier, air conditioning, Hollywood style lighting, venetian Mirrors etc, but it is a practical convenient way for you to have your hair and make up professionally styled right outside your door. Our Past brides have loved the Glam van premium service with comments such as : “we are so glad we had the Glam Van, it just makes the wedding morning so relaxed, stress free, comfy and fun”.

What services do we offer?

We offer two types of services here at Glam Van; The actual Glam Van; mobile parlour on wheels or the In-House / Hotel styling service, where the stylists service you and your bridal party inside your house or hotel.  Within these two options we offer both a hair styling and make up service. The GlamVan option has a minimum package of four people for both hair and make up.

 

What regions do we service?

We service all of Sydney including; Outer western Sydney, Inner West, South Sydney, North Sydney, South West Sydney, North western Sydney and the eastern suburbs . However please feel free to ask if your location is not listed and we will make an assessment on a per case basis.

 

How do I make a booking?

To make an enquiry firstly, simply click on the tab ‘Bookings’, and fill in the relevant booking/ enquiry form where you will then be emailed an instant information pack ( PDF file). Once you have read the information pack, simply reply to that email and request a quote preview/ please include correct information such as the service you require, how many people to be serviced, location, time you all need to be ready by and how old are your flower girls is any/ how long and thick is their hair, so I may quote you accordingly.

 

You then have two options to proceed with your booking;

1/ request a quote and proceed with a trial, then decide if you wish to confirm or

2/request a quote and choose to confirm first and have a trial( optional) closer to your wedding day. This one particularly best if you wish the Glam Van option as there is only one after all.

 

Can I book a pre wedding hair and or Make up Trial?

 Yes, you may choose to book in a hair styling pre wedding trial and or Make up before you decide to confirm your booking. Although trials are preferred by most clients, they are not compulsory. We ask that a trial is booked in within two weeks of your quote being allocated to you. The stylists assigned know to hold your wedding date till 7 days from your trial date in which, within this time you have to decide to confirm your booking by leaving your requested deposit.

 

Will the same stylist from my trial service me on my wedding day?

This question comes up often with past brides and the answer is yes, unless that particular stylist falls ill, the next available stylist will step in and be briefed on the style created at the trial. The stylists have a style sheet which they fill in with what style of make up/ hair was created for you with photos, so not to worry.

All Glam van stylists are super dedicated to their craft and they love what they do so they take extra care to be fresh and ready for every wedding .

 

Can I get a special offer discount with a larger Bridal party?

Yes, there are quote a few packages listed in the info pack that will be sent to you upon the form fill in in the bookings page.

 

What brands of make up will be used?

Every make up artist that works for Glam Van is stocked with a variety of their favorite, professional make up brands such as: MAC, KRYOLYN, BENEYE, STILLA,  CHANNEL,  SO GEOURGEOUSE COSMETICS, NAPOLEON, THE MAKE UP STORE

 

If there is a particular brand that you do like to be used on yourself, please make mention upon your booking request.

 

Do I need a touch up kit for my wedding day?

Yes, a touch up kit is a great idea and comes in very handy for those daily touch ups to keep you looking fresh and picture perfect. Although the make up application is super long wearing, certain things like, shine on the t zone and lipstick wearing off can be easily fixed with your touch up kit. What should you  have in your touch up kit? Well a lipstick/ gloss and a pressed translucent powder compact. These are essential and other things like: mini hair spray, comb, mini sewing kit, band aids, tissues, mints, a couple of safety pins and some Panadol can come in very useful.

I just wanted to say how much I loved your creations on my wedding day on 26 March 2011!

When I first found out about the Glam Van from my now sister-in-law, I got really excited by the idea and just really hoped that the hair and makeup would be as amazing as your Glam Van concept. Before finding you I had had many trials with others but your nature, attitude and talent at my trial blew me away! Both the trial and pre-wedding photo shoot hair and makeup were phenomenal and gave me so much confidence. This meant that the only thing I was not worrying about in the lead up to the wedding was whether or not I would look ok on the day!

Although we had 5 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, a flowergirl and myself, each person looked both stunning and flawless. The girls were really happy and I could not stop smiling all night! I didn't even need to touch up because the hair and makeup lasted all day and night! I was not stressed at all and had so much fun with the Glam Van and I know my bridesmaids loved it too. It was like an exclusive pampering session!

I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup all night long, it just made my smile bigger! You knew just what colours and styles suited me and created perfection!

I have been recommending you to EVERYONE and talking about you non-stop, just short of shouting your name from the rooftop! Actually, Ian's best man's brother's fiancee, Sal, has the pleasure of your amazing talent for her wedding on 23 April 2011.

Thank you so much for all the hard work you put in for my wedding. The experience was totally amazing, so relaxing and stress free. We received hundreds of complements on the day for how stunning my hair was as well as how great my sister and mum looked as well. We all had a "theme" going with our hair in curls, but we were also so unique, which is what i loved the most.
 
Your ideas and suggestions were just spot on and you certainly made the whole experience on the day and also on the trial one i will treasure forever.

Myself, bridal party and Mum all had our hair and makeup done inside the Glam Van. Susana and Christine were so hospitable and helpful on the day. It was great to have everyone together in such a unique location. Susana was amazing with parking the large van in such a tight space! Both of you really know what looks best in photos and I felt so confident once my hair and makeup was done. We got dressed inside the van.. Susana tells me this is a first! The van made for beautiful photos on the day.

Dear Susana and Christine, I just wanted to write and thank you soooooo much for making me feel like a glamorous princess on my wedding day.  Susana, from my first enquiry call you put me at ease and instilled a confidence in me that you could create that magical look for my special day.  My trial was fantastic and you both really took the time to identify what look worked with my dress, jewellery and my bridesmaids dresses and colour. Leading up to the wedding I got nervous about how I was going to look wanting everything to be perfect as I'm sure all brides do.  Once again the email and phone contact I had with you relaxed me and I knew that everything was going to be perfect on the day. Well finally the day arrived.  Both you and Christine were punctual, very professional, efficient with your time (as I had 6 people in total - 3 bridesmaids and my mother-in-law and grandmother-in-law) and perfect in the way you made each and every one of us look like a new improved version of ourselves.  As I said to you both on the day I was absolutely ecstatic with the way my hair and make-up turned out and I really felt amazing.  My mother-in-law, grandmother-in-law and bridesmaids were equally happy raving about how amazing they felt and looked. The final test was my husband.  Without prompting he commented that he loved my hair and make-up and that it wasn't too over the top and I still looked like me.  So for you the ultimate compliment. Thank you again so much for creating such a masterpiece, you both really are very talented artists.  I wouldn't hesitate in recommending you to any of my friends and I just hope that I have a special event in the future to attend so that I can use your fabulous services again. As I promised I am sending through two photos from my wedding on Saturday June 27th, 2009.
